In January there were many accounts of dolphins beaching themselves and dying. Then three weeks later in February the number of dolphins beaching themselves rose to 129, it is expected that more will strand themselves. At least 92 dolphins died so far, this is considered the single largest stranding since at least 13 years in 1999. Nobody knows why the dolphins are doing this, they are all in good health which raises more mystery to why they have beached themselves. Many marine biologists and other scientists are working together to help these dolphins, but it just so happens to be that congress is trying to cut funding to rescue response groups. Without proper funding it will be hard to help these magnificent animals anymore.
