China Denies Locking onto Japanese Vessel

Lately China and Japan have been feuding over islands, that Japan currently owns. Both ships have high tech weaponry and radar guidance and detection. A Chinese vessel supposedly locked onto a Japanese warship with its radar missile guidance system. The Chinese defense ministry says that the vessel's radar systems were running normally as they should be and not locking onto any other ships. He also said the same thing for a helicopter that the Chinese vessel had apparently also locked onto. These have brought up tensions which have led to the scrambling of jets and maritime standoff in the recent months. The U.S. doesn't want to pick sides in this dispute, and they want to leave it alone. Tensions have been rising over this island dispute, even though Japan has rights over the islands. Hopefully the tension declines and no ships are fired upon.

U.S. Pilot Found Dead

On Monday Captain Lucas Gruenther went missing in his F-16 on a training flight. Nobody knew what had happened, until Thursday. His body was found off the coast of Italy in the Adriatic Sea. His aircraft was stationed at the Aviano Air Base in Italy, it is a key NATO installation base. Nobody knows how his plane had gone down or what had actually happened. Italy has search teams that are still looking and finding debris from his F-16. Lucas' family loved him very much and all their prayers are with him.

Horseburgers in Britain and Ireland

Regular hamburgers are delicious, but what about horse meat in burgers. Burgers from two different chains, had horse DNA in their meat. Studies were done to check for more horse DNA. The report showed that ten burgers had very low traces and some patties had pig meat, but one patty, from Britain's largest retailer Tesco, was 29% horse meat. Tesco pulled all their products from the company that had produced it. The Chief Executive of Irish Food Authority, Alan Reilly, said there was an explanation for the pig meat, but not horse meat. He also said, it is unacceptable to have horse meat and pig meat, so people wouldn't be enraged. There were no further reports of where the foreign meat came from.

Circus Elephant Saved By Vodka

Last Saturday, there were some sick Siberian elephants. They were suffering from the Siberian Cold, which is very deadly, and practically kills most things. Well, the two elephants that had it, were on the brink of death, when they were given some vodka, and they were saved. They were both given 10 liters of vodka, that was diluted in some warm water. The veterinarian that treated the elephants, said that the ears were only frostbitten. The vet was talking to reporters, about the effects of vodka on people. Vodka makes the body feel warm, but makes the core body temperature go down. When the elephants drank it, they did not become intoxicated, they just got saved from frostbite and pneumonia. Only give vodka to elephants to save them, nothing else.  

Military Plane goes down in South Africa

Yesterday, a military plane, supposedly carrying a team of doctors went down in the Drakensberg Mountains. The doctors were a personal crew for former President Mandela who is 94 years old. Although two sources that are very close to Mandela, say that the passengers of the plane were not actually doctors. When the rescue crews finally found the crash site, there were no survivors, and they said it is too early to tell how the plane actually went down. The rescue teams were still searching for survivors, but they still haven't found anything, and Mandela doesn't wish to talk about what or who was on the plane, so we may never know.

Massive Car Pileup

Thanksgiving Day, down in South East Texas, there was a dense amount of fog, that was way too hard to see through, in a result, one car crashed. This car started a chain reaction that lead to a 140 car pileup wreck. Surprisingly only two people were killed in this massive accident, but many were injured. The Man and the woman that were killed, got crushed by a tractor trailer. It took a whole eight hours to clean up the wreck, before the lanes re-opened and people were back to their normal lives. I hope that the two that have died are in a better place.

Rocket strikes in Israel and Gaza

Early this morning rockets were all over the skies in Israel and Gaza. Israel had at least three people killed, while Palestinians had up to fifteen people dead, over 250 rockets were fired from Gaza. Of the 250 rockets that were shot from Gaza, only 105 rockets were intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome Defense System. The rocket that killed the three Israeli's had hit a house, which also wounded four others. The Hamas spokesman, Osama Hamdan, insisted that Israel has started the war. The rocket strikes have stopped now, but there may be more in the future. There were no further reports of imminent attacks, but Israel is keeping there heads faced towards Gaza.
