Canadian Avalanche Kills Local Skier

On Monday a 38 year old was skiing with some of his friends in Canada's Glacial National Park, he went to check out a ridge by himself. Unfortunately he triggered an average ranking avalanche, which had buried him completely. His friends had arrived where he was and they attempted to dig him out. They managed to get him out and one went to get help and the other stayed back to try and give him CPR. The rescue team came and they were too late and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the man has not been released yet, but he is still dead.

Carnival Cruise Terrors

Last Wednesday, there were some problems with the Carnival Dream. A cruise ship that is a part of the Carnival Cruise company. Recently Carnival Cruises have been having numerous problems, last month the Carnival Triumph had some decks light on fire, stopping the boat. This month, the Carnival Dream and one other Carnival ship were experiencing power problems. The Dream lost all power to its generators and its propulsion systems, so it was dead in the water. Luckily it was able to be docked at St. Marteene. Elevators on the ship were not working and plumbing wasn't working in some rooms. All 4,000 passengers disembarked from the ship and were sent home, but that was all paid for by Carnival. Most of the passengers said they enjoyed the time that they were on the ship. All is well, but the Carnival Cruises are really hitting rock bottom, without sinking. Wooooaaaahhhh!!

Soviet Soldier MIA since 1980 and was found recently

In 1980 there was a Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Many people were killed in this long war, but there were also many that went missing. Bakhredtin Khakimov was one of soldiers that went missing, after he received a wound to the head, some local Afghan tribesman healed him. Currently he uses the name Sheikh Abdullah that was most likely given to him by the tribes people. He had a wife and a child, but they both passed. He now lives a semi-nomadic life. A Russian non-profit organization found him, but he will continue his life with the Afghan tribes people, after a he meets his long lost relatives.
